Overview

The American Probation and Parole Association is a membership-driven organization consisting of practicing, or retired, probation, parole, and community corrections professionals; as well as academicians, researchers, members of the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government, community volunteers, and corporations with an interest in criminal justice and community-based corrections.

Board of Directors

The APPA board of directors consists of the executive committee, each member elected to a two year term; and two elected regional representatives from 17 regions, each elected to a three year term. In addition the board of directors includes one voting member from each affiliate organization, corporate members, and APPA past presidents. APPA committee chairs are non-voting members of the board.
