The University of Massachusetts at Lowell, in conjunction with the American Probation and Parole Association, hosted a series of focus groups and conducted a larger study of community corrections administrators to gather information and staff perspectives on sex offender community management practices and policies. This workshop will present the findings of this nationwide study, covering a wide scope of management practices and policies. It will identify those practices and policies having the most positive effects on case management, workload, and offender recidivism specific to sex offenders, with attention also given to uncovering areas meriting research attention.
