SESSION INFO

Tuesday, March 12, 2019
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Session Type: Workshop

Have you ever wondered how case management work hours are being allocated by your staff? Is the ratio of time dedicated to managing high, medium, and low risk offenders in your state consistent with evidence-based practices? Following a year of collaborative statewide planning and development work, Oregon recently completed a successful community corrections offender case management time study aimed at answering these questions and more. The study involved 36 counties, more than 1000 community corrections staff, and close to 45,000 case entries over a 16-week period. The resulting data was compiled, vetted, and uploaded into a dashboard format for ease of access and interpretation. Come join us for a review of the steps Oregon took in developing and running this statewide study. Learn about the technology used for data collection, see the outcomes, and hear about lessons learned.
