This session will focus on executive leaders’ experiences and challenges in leading and overseeing community corrections agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Panelists will focus on workforce challenges specific to the community corrections profession, including staff recruitment, retention, training/coaching for the new skills required by reform efforts, succession planning, and more. The panel will also address additional challenges identified by current and emerging leaders through APPA’s outreach prior to the Summit. This session is intended to engage attendees and elicit audience participation as well as to share lessons learned from the panelists
