Unlocking Evidence-Based Practices: How Actionable Insight Software Holds the Key to Improve Probation Outcomes
SESSION INFO
Monday, August 19, 2019
11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Session Type: Workshop
Probation, pretrial, and parole departments are increasingly charged with implementing evidence-based practices, tailoring supervision to assessed risks and needs, and providing metrics and data on outcomes and trends. While the desire to fulfill this charge is strong, many departments lack the tools and resources to do so successfully. Advances in actionable insight software make it possible to bring together agency policy, behavioral science, and analytics into the day-to-day decision-making of pretrial, probation, and parole officers. Real-time, data-based recommendations; streamlined and guided responses to client actions; enhanced communication with community providers and clients; and powerful reporting capabilities have the capacity to modernize workflows while supporting better client outcomes and improving community safety in the long term. During this session the presenters will discuss current trends, available technologies, and practical applications and outcomes in current programs.
