Renee Curry, MS is the Founder of Therapeutic Training and Consultation, and the Executive Director for Center for the Empowerment of Families Inc., a non-profit founded in 2006 by Dr. Sharon Jacques- Rabb. Dr. Rabb was a survivor of childhood neglect & abuse, and Renee was always inspired by her mother's strong will to overcome adversities. A service provider of therapeutic programming in marginalized and corrections communities, Renee has since trained more than 2,500 officers from local agencies to address vicarious trauma. Renee is an active member of the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists, and the Southern Region Society for Adolescent Health & Medicine. She co-authored evidence based curriculum with Dr. Rabb, and facilitated independently for Homeboy Industries Inc., the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; the California Rehabilitation and Corrections Department; and local school districts. Other partners include Children's Institute International, Kedren Mental Health, and Shields for Families. Most recently, Renee presented at the CA Probation Parole & Correction Association's 87th conference. In 2018, Renee's personal story was featured in The Los Angeles Sentinel Newspaper, and she has also been acknowledged by Mayor Garcetti for completing the fifty-four hour LAPD Crisis Response Team training. Ms. Curry has a Masters in Counseling from Mount Saint Mary's University, and she a Registered Associate Marriage Family Therapist #109674 with a psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles under the supervision of Darlene Bash LCSW #9362
