SESSION PRESENTERS
Mrs. Deana Votra
Case Manager,
Deana Edminsten-Votra, known as simply Dee, is a proud member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and thankful to represent the Reintegration Program.
Dee's tenure within the program exemplifies the transformative potential of second chances. From her pivotal role in leading initiatives such as the Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program to her current position in Case Management, Dee's steadfast dedication has been instrumental in effecting positive change.
Rooted in her personal journey, prior to her tenure with the Reintegration Program, Dee navigated the labyrinth of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for nearly four years. Upon her release, Dee confronted a world fraught with challenges, bearing the weight of societal stigma as a felon. Yet, within the Reintegration Program, she found solace and support. Through employment opportunities, training initiatives, and a robust network of mentors, and most importantly, her family and faith in God helped forge her into the person she is today. Dee's empathy and commitment to assisting others on similar paths are unwavering. Beyond her professional pursuits, she serves as a respected mentor within her church community, offering invaluable guidance and support in Christ-centered recovery. Her firsthand experience instilled in her a profound empathy and understanding for those seeking redemption. She firmly believes in the power of second chances, recognizing that everyone deserves the opportunity to rewrite their narrative.
