Melody Smith is a dedicated professional with a passion for advocating for women in leadership roles. With a career spanning nearly two decades in the criminal justice system, she has held various roles that have allowed her to make a meaningful impact. Starting as a GED instructor at the Cook County Department of Corrections in 2003, Melody's journey led her to become a Correctional Rehabilitation Counselor in 2008 before transitioning to the role of Probation Officer in the Home Confinement Unit at Cook County Adult Probation in 2015. In 2022, Melody's hard work and dedication were recognized as she was promoted to Supervisor in the Home Confinement Unit, where she continues to lead and inspire her team.
