Participants will learn mindfulness, self-care, and insights into the causes and effects of trauma. The session covers Trauma-Informed Practices (TIP) to support those affected by trauma while maintaining personal well-being. Participants explore practical tools to create a more supportive workplace culture and navigate high-pressure situations with confidence and compassion.

Dr. Evelyn Thompson-Hilbert, CEO and Founder of Mindful Alliances, LLC, is a trailblazer in trauma-informed care and self-care practices in workforce development. As a trauma survivor, she brings authenticity and compassion to her work, backed by over a decade of expertise in workforce education and 25+ years of mindfulness consultation. Dr. Evelyn has held pivotal roles at the College of Southern Nevada’s Division of Workforce & Economic Development, excelling in both frontline and leadership positions. Her commitment to advancing equity and inclusivity is reflected in her appointment to the Governor’s Workforce Development Board, where she contributes to the Underserved and Barriers Subcommittee. She also serves as the State Public Policy Chair for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and Vice President of Programs for the AAUW Las Vegas Branch. Dr. Evelyn holds a Doctorate in Public Policy and Masters in Urban Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelors in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. She has pioneered groundbreaking policies that integrate mindfulness and trauma-informed care into workforce training. Her extensive experience includes delivering programs to incarcerated individuals, and professional development to criminal justice professionals in Los Angeles and Las Vegas correctional facilities. As a dynamic speaker and facilitator, Dr. Evelyn offers one-on-one coaching, train-the-trainer workshops, and retreats designed to foster resilience, self-care, and mindful leadership.
