Fun and Games: The Road to Change

SESSION INFO

Monday, August 29, 2022
9:15 AM - 10:15 AM
Session Type: Workshop

So, the pandemic happened. This, of course, brought many changes to the way we operate as professionals in community corrections. We all know that if one is going to be successful in this field, adapting to change is a must; thus, it is necessary to have an endless supply of tools and techniques at the ready. This workshop will provide attendees with tools to take back to their departments and use them successfully and immediately in their program delivery. The methods taught in our session require no funding, legislative changes, department policy mandates, written manuals, or any hoopla that usually accompanies new ideas in community supervision. This session will also be fun, fast-paced, participatory, and highly interactive. Participants will leave this session feeling energized and full of new ideas and hands-on tools to improve their group facilitation skills or even when working one-on-one with clients. Please join us and be prepared to play and learn.
