Sheryl Day Biography Born: White Plains, New York Education: Bachelor of Science – Pace University, Pleasantville, N.Y. Master of Science - Long Island University, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Sheryl Day-Davis has been employed with the Westchester County Department of Probation for 23 years as a Probation Officer, State Certified Instructor for Police and Corrections, and Certified Offender Workforce Development Specialist. She spent 16 years of her career assigned to the DWI Unit where she was chosen to become a Female Offender Specialist. As such, she took the initiative to design and to implement an award winning and research accredited trauma-informed DWI Female Offender Program. She was one of the first in the field of law enforcement to bring to light the effects of trauma on women and how it directly correlates to substance abuse. Ms. Day-Davis is currently the Workforce Development Coordinator for the Department where she designs and implements innovative community-based vocational collaborations for the betterment of probationers. She is also the Coordinator of the Westchester County Probation Peer Support Team.
