This workshop encompasses the unavoidable and ultimately necessary decision to transition an aging case management legacy system to a modern one. For most Probation/Parole leaders, the decision is complex and requires a clear roadmap for communication, budgeting, staff aptitude for new technology, and change management that must work in a coordinated effort to transition successfully. The course will cover: • The risks associated with continuing with a legacy system • How a leader can communicate that need to their governmental oversight and control agencies • Establishing a realistic roadmap that ensures success • A high level overview of budget preparedness for communication to your control agencies • Who your stakeholder partners are and who you should work with to ensure buy-in • Gauging organizational preparedness through an electronic data maturity matrix • Navigating change management • How to balance desire to expand and grow the new system efficiently to meet emerging needs to include GPS and mobile devices

Robert Ambroselli
Client Executive, Tyler Technologies


Robert Ambroselli is responsible for managing client implementations and relationships for Tyler Technologies’ Enterprise Supervision accounts. Prior to joining Tyler Technologies, he managed Alameda County Probation Department’s implementation of Enterprise Supervision for Adult, Juvenile and Pretrial projects. Mr. Ambroselli has more than 30 years of public safety experience in corrections and state parole with assignments that include the activation of California’s first maximum security prison, Pelican Bay State Prison. He was the Assistant Chief of the Office of Correctional Safety and was appointed Director of State Parole for California by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. In his corporate career, he has been responsible for managing and implementing a number of large-scale accounts that span both county and statewide implementations.
