Embark on an interactive journey with Pinal County's Justice Services Administrator Manager, Teresa Fuller, and Robert LaPlante—Maine’s Regional Correctional Administrator—as they explore the powerful potential of supervision apps combined with care management to facilitate behavioral change among justice-involved individuals. Joined by Pinal County's technology partner, Reconnect, Inc., Ms. Fuller & Mr. LaPlante will shed light on how technology effectively bridges gaps in assessments, support, and supervision requirements. In the latter half of this engaging workshop, participants will collaborate in groups, applying their newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios. The session will culminate in a group discussion, allowing attendees to reflect and exchange insights based on the scenarios presented.

SESSION PRESENTERS
Dir. Teresa Fuller
Justice Systems Administrator, Pinal County Attorney's Office
As the Justice Services Administrator Manager Teresa Fuller oversees the Adult Diversion program and the implementation of reentry coordination efforts in Pinal County. For 15 years, Mrs. Fuller has worked in various governmental capacities within Child Protective Services, Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, and Victim Services. Throughout her career, she has initiated or participated in innovative projects aimed at increasing the availability and implementation of evidence-based alternatives for community supervision, including Teen Court, the Crossover Youth Project, the adoption of EPICS training for supervisors and diversion officers, and the development of policies for increasing evidence-based practices in community supervision. In addition to her role as the Justice Services Administrator, she currently serves as director of the 4-year, Bureau of Justice Administration funded Justice Reinvestment Initiative research project titled Digital Transformation of Community Supervision. Mrs. Fuller has a master’s degree in Family and Human Development from Texas Woman’s University.

Julie is a senior member of Reconnect’s team handling research and communication. With a background in writing and research, Julie has spent the last three years working to understand how the criminal legal system works and how technology can support evidence-based practices for program staff and the individuals served by the program. Julie makes her home in North Carolina.
