At the Crossroads? How to Ensure Ethics Points Us to our North Star

SESSION INFO

Tuesday, August 24, 2021
9:30AM - 10:30AM
Session Type: Workshop

Probation Officers not only must assist those on their caseloads to change their behaviors, but also must ensure their own behaviors pass ethical muster. What if the officer personally believes department policy or court order is wrong in a particular case? How does the officer ensure he or she treats others fairly and consistently? These and other issues will be explored and discussed to ensure that officers consider their ethical behavior when confronting developments that occur each day.
