The workshop will begin by first identifying and discussing barriers that participants face when it comes to accessing in-person services. Next, we will examine how a large state department of corrections has leveraged virtual services in addressing these barriers. Attendees will explore utilizing technology for virtual treatment, including group and individual sessions, and self-directed programming. The workshop aims to equip participants with practical strategies for implementing virtual services within their own agencies. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the pivotal role of technology in overcoming obstacles such as transportation, scheduling conflicts, and housing instability. By the end, participants will be empowered with strategies to utilize technology effectively, ultimately enhancing accessibility and outcomes.

SESSION PRESENTERS

Adrienne Corlew
Statewide Administrative Program Manager , Geo Group


Adrienne is currently the Statewide Administrative Program Manager for the TN Reentry program. In this role she administers and supports the statewide team in partnership with the TN Department of Correction. Adrienne has extensive experience working with marginalized communities in with a focus in social change, and the ability to change thoughts and behaviors with principles of kindness, and self-actualization. Adrienne is from Nashville, TN and is a proud graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University. Adrienne loves to volunteer at the Nashville Zoo where she is a docent volunteer.


J.D. Hosman
Sales Software Engineer, Allvest Information Services dba Vant4ge


As a Sales Engineer for Vant4ge, JD is a key liaison between the Sales and Product teams. He provides value in breaking down the complex decision support systems in the Vant4gePoint platform for our clients and walking them through each part of the software; making it all easily digestible. He also serves during the implementation process by helping the agency to configure the platform to work best with their jurisdictions practices. JD is an active member of multiple correction organizations, including APPA, CLA, and ACA. In addition to his technical expertise, JD also excels in Customer Relationship management and Business Intelligence platforms.


Trevor Lloyd
President, ACCI Lifeskills


Mr. Trevor Lloyd is the President of American Community Corrections Institute (ACCI Lifeskills) – a national, evidence-based provider of cognitive life skills courses and programs. Mr. Lloyd earned a Masters of Science in Industrial /Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University (San Diego, CA Campus) in 2003. He has also received coaching and facilitator certificates from the Arbinger Institute. He has worked in the counseling and rehabilitation sector with extensive experience in staff development. As President of ACCI, Mr. Lloyd has presented to and trained many different groups of criminal justice and educational professionals on how to successfully use the science of cognitive restructuring to help at risk you and justice involved individuals to overcome self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. Mr. Lloyd brings over 28 years of experience in the behavioral health industry to his current position. He is now providing his leadership and expertise at ACCI to provide innovative, affordable, and evidence-based courses and programs for both the criminal justice and educational systems.
