Maria Abelar is a Program Manager with Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department in Houston, Texas. In her current position she is responsible for the day to day operations of the Staff Development and Data Management units and is a member of the Strategic Plan Implementation Team. She is responsible for managing the department's strategic plan and submitting grant applications for diversion program funding. She is a Master Trainer in the delivery of the Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS) and a certified Effective Practices in Community Supervision (EPICS) trainer. She has presented at various conferences including the Community Justice Assistance Division (CJAD) Skills and Virtual Skills Conference, Texas Probation Association Conference and Texas Corrections Association Conference.

Trina Willis is a Program Manager for Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. In her current position she is responsible for the management of Harris County’s Specialty Courts which include Veteran's Court (felony and misdemeanor), STAR Drug Court, SOBER Court, Project Second Chance and DWI Caseloads. She has over 26 years’ experience working in the community corrections field and is a specialist in the development of specialty courts. She was instrumental in developing the first Re-Entry Court and prostitution court in the state of Texas while employed in Dallas County and developed the first drug court in Brazoria County. She has presented at various conferences including TASC, NADCP and Substance Abuse Summit. Ms. Willis is also a member of the Texas Association of Drug Court Professionals and National Association of Drug Court Professionals.
