Every employee is affected by grief in some way. Since the pandemic, more than 147 million U.S. employees are reporting to work burdened by grief. Most managers are not equipped to manage the magnitude of the suffering and trauma that return to the workplace post covid costing organizations millions in loss of productivity. This workshop supports managers and organizations leading a traumatized workforce to build a resilient and productive environment for all.

SESSION PRESENTERS
Yolanda Bethea
Executive Director, CSOSA
Dr. Yolanda R. Bethea serves as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Community Supervision and Intervention Services Division with the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) for the District of Columbia. This division supervises adult offenders sentenced to probation, released to parole, or supervised in the District of Columbia. Ms. Bethea has dedicated over 28 years to the field as a federal, state, and local community correction professional. Ms. Bethea is committed to advancing work processes by utilizing technology to enhance community supervision strategies and employing Evidence-Based Practices, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Intervention, and Core Correctional Practices to achieve positive offender change. She formerly served as the Interim Associate Director at CSOSA and the Northern Regional Director of Parole and Probation for the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Ms. Bethea earned her Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary. She earned her Master of Arts Degree in Spiritual and Pastoral Care from Loyola University, her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Mercer University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Leadership from the Brookings Institution. Dr. Bethea is a Mid-Atlantic Correctional Association (MASCA) member and an American Parole and Probation Association (APPA) member. She actively develops future leaders nationwide as a leader in the MASCA Emerging Leaders Program and former APPA Leadership Institute Mentor and Panel of Experts.
