Electronic Monitoring has evolved from the early days of short range radio frequency ankle bracelets. This session will cover the historical evolution of GPS monitoring over the last 40 years, how it all works and where it’s headed.

SESSION PRESENTERS

AJ Gigler
Chief Marketing Officer, Track Group


AJ has over 21 years of experience in electronic monitoring (EM) technology and rehabilitative program development. As Chief Marketing Officer for Track Group he is responsible for marketing vision and product development for one of the world’s leading EM companies. Before joining Track Group in 2019, he gained an extensive background spanning from field operations to product design in the field of electronic monitoring and its adjacencies. AJ has co-developed and launched multiple disruptive hardware and software products in the community corrections space and is a U.S. Patent holder. Previously, AJ served as Vice President of Product Marketing for Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. (SCRAM Systems) where his team helped turn a one-product company into a full-suite EM and software development organization. As National Sales Manager, he co-led the company’s pivot from private to federal, state & county level contracting. Prior to AJ’s business-oriented roles, he worked hands-on in field operations as Install Services Supervisor for the Illinois Department of Corrections Electronic Monitoring program. From there, he moved into business development of electronic monitoring and evidence-based, cognitive rehabilitative programs for BI Incorporated (GeoCare). AJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Consumer Sciences from Northern Illinois University.
