SESSION PRESENTERS
Dir. Jacob Baird
Director of Agency Relations, Acivilate, Inc.
Jacob is a 13-year law enforcement veteran with 10+ years of experience in Restorative Justice Programming. He started his law enforcement career with the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) where he developed & operated the Gwinnett Reentry Intervention Program (GRIP). He then joined the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office where he developed their reentry programming while also operating the Rockdale Residential Substance Abuse Treatment (RRSAT) program. Jacob returned to the GCSO to continue working with GRIP, eventually achieving the rank of Sergeant as well as becoming the Section Administrator. In his last role, prior to joining Acivilate, he was the Community Engagement Officer for the Lawrenceville Police Department (LPD) and still volunteers part-time with them in support of Project FIRST, a program he developed for the City of Lawrenceville to address the misalignment of service provisioning for criminal justice involved citizens.
Jacob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia.
