I am native of Vienna Ga and has lived there since birth. I attended Dooly County High School, Vienna Ga and graduated with the class of 1996. I attended Fort Valley State College and received several credits and then later found out I was expecting my one and only son Chanin Hamilton who was born November 30, 1996. My life changed tremendously. I had to stop attending FVSC and I started attending South Ga Technical College, Cordele Ga, due to it being closer to home, shortly afterwards I received my Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems. I chose to work as a GED instructor and secretary with Cordele Housing Authority for several years until I decided to change my career. I began to work at Crisp Regional Youth Detention Center in November of 2003. I worked my way up the ranks of Correctional Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. In 2009 I enrolled in college; Ashford University and I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management in 2011/ I decided to apply for a training position in 2013 with the Ga Department of Juvenile Justice. I’m currently employed with them as a Public Safety Training Instructor 3, and I enjoy what I do. I’ve also worked for the Census Bureau in 2010 and 2020.
