Cognitive Behavioral Programs: T4C vs MRT

This training does not provide a certification in either cognitive behavioral program. This presentation is designed to promote awareness and education for two of the more widely accepted cognitive behavioral programs utilized by criminal justice professionals. Participants can expect to gain an understanding of the pros and cons of each program, as well as, develop an understanding of who would benefit from each program. Attendees will review and engage in specific activities selected from each curriculum to gain a better understanding of the group dynamic.

SESSION PRESENTERS

James Aulby
Program Coordinator, Marion County Community Corrections


James started his career in corrections at Indiana Women’s Prison in October of 2015 as a correctional officer. He was in this position for a year before transitioning to being a Caseworker. During this time he began helping in the training department and became certified to instruct T4C and MRT. James instructed two groups for MRT on a weekly basis, one was for general population and the second was for their special needs population. James has been working in Programs for MCCC since June of 2023 where he facilitates various classes such as Parenting, Conflict Resolution, an MRT class for women, and a new MRT class for Felony Diversion Program clients.


Blake Kresca
Program Coordinator, Marion County Community Corrections


Blake Kresca is a Program Coordinator with Marion County Community Corrections in Indianapolis, IN. He is a certified facilitator for both MRT and T4C. He also facilitates and/or oversees other programs that operate within Duvall Residential Center, a work release program, in Indianapolis. He has five years of experience facilitating programs and working with justice-involved individuals.
