APPA’s Dennis Maloney Community Service Project gives members and stakeholders a chance to give back to the community during each training institute. Since the recent tornados, our community has lost family members, homes, and vehicles. Not-for-profit organizations have not been immune to the severity of the economic breakdown during the pandemic period. As a result, their ability to offer services to those who need assistance has been reduced or completely eliminated in some cases. This winter APPA will support these families through the Operation Give Back Gift Card Drive. And of course, children are our future. Unfortunately, they are among countless individuals who are displaced and/or homeless. This winter APPA will also support displaced youth through the Share the Warmth project.

Make a difference at the APPA 2022 Winter Training Institute by donating gift cards for those in need. We are accepting physical and online gift cards. For more information about how to give back, please contact Darlene Webb, Director of Operations, or visit the Community Service Project Corner during the training institute in Atlanta! Gift cards will be donated to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund.

*Please donate cards in increments of $10, $15, $20, $25.

*Suggested stores and restaurants include Kroger, Walmart, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wendy’s, McDonalds, etc.

Share The Warmth

Help make a difference this winter season. Join us during the institute to craft no-sew blankets for individuals who are displaced. These blankets will be distributed to local shelters to provide warmth, comfort and a sense of security through handmade blankets.
