The 2024 #PPPSWeek campaign will celebrate the work that community corrections professionals do and urge everyone to prioritize their wellness - Wellness Unveiled: Navigating the Journey.
APPA has prepared this toolkit for you in order to inform and seek support for #PPPSWeek and those in the field of pretrial, probation, and parole!
Download the PPPS Week campaign logos to use on your digital and print materials - as well as the items of your choice.
Here is a Sample Donations Letter and Sample Sponsorship form (docx) to seek donations to promote a recognition activity, such as a luncheon. Don't forget to remind potential donors that their contributions — monetary or in-kind (such as services, discounts, or food) — may be tax deductible.
Use the sample release to inform your local media about PPPS Week. Tip: Recommend sending by June 15, 2024.
The American Probation and Parole Association has provided you with this customizable sample proclamation to be completed to send to your mayor, governor, or other appropriate elected official. Once your proclamation has been issued, send the proclamation to your local newspaper for publication and to your local radio stations for on-air personalities to read. You could even create souvenir copies for your staff on agency letterhead or certificate paper.
Schedule presentations to civic groups to talk about how community corrections professionals are restoring trust and creating hope in your community. This sample file is editable so you can add local information such as graphs, photos, texts, tables of data, or sound.
