TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE

APPA has a variety of technical assistance opportunities through funding from the Bureau of Justice Assistance to provide both remote and on-site technical assistance to tribal justice agencies to develop, grow, and enhance community corrections programs. APPA can offer technical assistance on topics such as enhancing corrections programs, helping to implement ESA under the TLOA of 2010, assisting with reentry programs and helping to develop or advance alternatives to incarceration.

Technical Assistance requests are typically funded through a grant from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. If funds are unavailable through a grant, the jurisdiction can fund the assistance of APPA through other means.
