The American Probation and Parole Association’s (APPA) committees are structured around areas related to the association’s mission, goals, functions, e.g., constitutional review and awards, and/or focal points that have sustained relevance or importance to the field of community corrections. Committees support the operations of APPA and help the association better meet the needs of its constituents. Further, committees provide the membership with an opportunity to develop and lead outside of their agencies by sharing their skills, abilities, and resources.
