What to Expect:

There will be transportation provided to the site. Attendees are asked to gather in the main hotel lobby and will be escorted to awaiting buses. Please gather promptly in the hotel's 1st-floor lobby on Saturday, June 29 at 9:00 am and then on Sunday, June 30 at 1:00 pm.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to visit two key facilities:
● Assessment & Intervention Center (AIC): Explore the first-of-its-kind facility, the cornerstone of Mayor Joe Hogsett’s criminal justice reform efforts in Indianapolis. Spend an hour immersed in its innovative approach.
● Marion Superior Court Probation Department: Gain valuable insights into the workings of this department, located within the same campus as the AIC.

Assessment & Intervention Center (AIC)

The Assessment & Intervention Center (AIC) is a first-of-its-kind facility and the flagship of Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett’s criminal justice reform efforts.

The AIC provides mental health and substance use assessments with a goal of connecting individuals to appropriate community resources. Referrals are welcomed from a variety of sources including law enforcement and corrections, homeless shelters and outreach programs, emergency departments, primary care centers, as well as self-referral. Join this tour for a visit to the center located on the Community Justice Campus where AIC leadership will provide a walk through and overview the program, services and impact since opening in December 2020.

Marion Superior Court Probation Department

On the same campus is the new home of the Marion Superior Court Probation Department, housed in a professional office building located on the property adjacent to the Assessment and Intervention Center.

Visit this open work concept office in operation since January 2023 where all client service is delivered on 1 floor and staff shared space on another. The probation department shares with building with the Marion County Public Defender Agency. Join probation administration in a walk through and overview of the planning, operations and service delivery in this modern work environment.
