Tribal Probation Policies & Procedures

Having policies and procedures in place for your tribal community corrections program provides a solid foundation for program operations and helps firmly establish and professionalize your work in your tribal community. The policies and procedures you develop should be written based upon the resources of your current program, while also allowing for revisions and additions later as your program grows.

This may sound like an overwhelming process; however, APPA has received approval from tribal probation programs to share their policies and procedures as templates for other tribes to use for ideas as they develop their own.
