New Animated Series Debut
The 10 Core Principles of Juvenile Probation - Part One of Two
ENGLISH ENGLISH
In 2024, APPA partnered with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and several subject matter experts to establish the 10 Core Principles of Juvenile Probation. Historically, professionals in the field of community supervision have grouped adults and children into a one-size-fits-all approach. It is time to breakthrough and move past that old mentality and meet justice-involved youth where they are, on a cognitive level.
Join us for a new FREE series of animated shorts created in collaboration with juvenile subject matter experts dedicated to breaking the cycle of recidivism. Each video is designed to highlight one core principle. However, viewers may notice an overlap with the other principles, that ring true to the nature of working with justice-involved youth on probation. It is our hope as a community to continue the necessary work of transforming the field in a positive direction.
