Online Lodging Reservations
We are now accepting hotel reservations. APPA has blocked the number of lodging rooms to accommodate registered members and guests based on recent history and hotel availability.
ONE HOTEL ROOM, PER REGISTRANT. ($120/night plus taxes and fees)
To take advantage of APPA's room block you must be registered for the training institute.
If you are needing more rooms to accommodate guests who are not registered for the training institute, you must book your reservations via Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort and Casino's website. APPA's room block is only available to registered attendees. By registering for the training institute, you agree to allow the hotel to share your reservation information with APPA to ensure you receive the discounted rate and are counted towards APPA's room block.
To receive the hotel passkey for booking your hotel reservation, you must complete the registration process. Once registered, the necessary details for securing your accommodation will be provided. If you need assistance with registration, or for hotel reservations greater than TEN rooms, please contact Kimberly Mills, APPA's Office Manager and Registration Coordinator by email.
APPA reserves the right to CANCEL hotel reservations made under its block without a current registration. A cross-check between registration and hotel reservations will be conducted weekly.
Getting Around: Exploring Las Vegas
Las Vegas, often simply known as Vegas, is the most populous city in the U.S. state of Nevada and the seat of Clark County. The Las Vegas Valley metropolitan area is the largest within the greater Mojave Desert, and second largest in the Southwestern United States. Las Vegas is an internationally renowned city and the Las Vegas Valley serves as the leading financial, commercial, and cultural center for Nevada.
Flights
Harry Reid International Airport is conveniently located just 2 miles from Las Vegas Boulevard and 3.5 miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center, with most hotels located within a 15-minute drive from the airport. Harry Reid International Airport currently has more than 1,050 inbound and outbound flights per day and direct service to nearly 150 U.S. and international cities (as of June 2022).
Trains
Whether on vacation or visiting Las Vegas for a meeting or convention, the Monorail makes your trip to Las Vegas even more enjoyable, saving you time without the hassles of traffic. Riders can conveniently navigate the Las Vegas Strip in less than 15 minutes at speeds of up to 50 mph. The Las Vegas Monorail offers mobile tickets and several fare types to suit travel needs, from a one-way trip to an unlimited-ride pass.
Cars
Taxis are a reliable form of transportation used throughout Vegas for decades. With several companies to choose from, you never have to worry about there not being enough drivers at a late hour. The Harry Reid International Airport Rental Car Center houses 10 car rental companies in one location. The center is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with continuous shuttle service to and from airport terminals. Ridesharing, commonly associated with Uber and Lyft, is a convenient option for visitors to get around the destination, no matter where you are in Las Vegas.
Shows
Las Vegas, aka The Entertainment Capital of the World, is home to dozens of incredible shows with something for just about everyone. Other places may claim to have the best shows, but they don't hold a candle to the best Vegas shows. While the endless selection is great for locals, for those of you who are only in town for a few days it can be difficult to determine what the best show in Vegas actually is. For this reason we hand-picked the best shows in Vegas in hopes of helping you select the perfect show while you’re here.
Restaurants
While some might argue that the best way to get to know a place as sensory saturated as Las Vegas is to get out and explore, to truly experience this city, from the Strip to downtown and from the westside to Boulder City, is to taste it. Beyond offering delicious dupes of renowned restaurants from coast to coast, all within a four-mile stretch around the Las Vegas Valley, the area brightly shines with an up-and-coming local dining scene, innovative takes on culinary trends and exceptional places to try different types of cuisines in varying styles.
Things to Do
There are so many fun things to do in Las Vegas, some of them are even free! We're here to help you find the best things to do from the Welcome to Las Vegas Sign on the Strip to Fremont Street Experience. Whether it's a fun party on the High Roller, a weekend birthday bash, day trip to the Grand Canyon, or where to shop inside the Forum Shops at Caesars, we got you covered. If you're already in Vegas searching for "attractions and activities near me", here you go!
WARNING STATEMENT
If any companies call you indicating they have special rates on flights or hotels available, they are “pirate housing companies” and DO NOT represent APPA, or area hotels or airlines that APPA has partnered with. If they reach out to you, we strongly recommend that you DO NOT use their services. No legitimate hotel or airline will ever contact you directly asking you to book with them.
* Any booking of non-training institute related events or tours are done at the discretion/risk of the attendee and APPA cannot be held responsible for any issues that may arise.
